Learn about and develop the most advanced techniques for the design, fabrication and characterization of microfluidic and biomimetic devices for the study of cellular interactions.
Microfluidic platforms seek to accurately replicate the physiological functions of cells and tissues for biomimetic study of diseases, drug testing and biomedical research overcoming the limitations of conventional in vitro and animal models, by realistically replicating microarchitecture, fluid perfusion and mechanotransduction as well as controlling cellular interaction in dynamic environments.
